About Australian Used Textile

The volume of clothing Australians throw away each year to keep up with latest fashion has led to tonnes of textile end up in Landfills. While considering landfill as an option by many, Australian Used Textile had a look at it in a different angle just like few others who want to help keep the environment safe. To help reduce the amount of volume that goes to landfill, we have decided to set up collection centres in few locations to buy clothes. This will help clear someone’s wardrobe and make some money while selling to us rather transporting to landfill, paying for what you dispose and not making any money on items that you send to landfill.

With Australian Used Textile we put more time and effort in sorting and packing what is best. We promote Humanity at heart and what we want others to use is what we would have used ourselves. We collect, sort and stock high quality used Australian clothing, shoes, and bags.

Our sorting is mainly comprised of summer clothes, winter clothes and household textiles which are compressed into 45KG and 55Kg bales. The collection of shoes, bags, and belts are separately sorted and sewn into 25KG sacks.
